Muzzleloader Season starts tomorrow. Getting things together for Sally & I.

Last week-end I checked zero on both muzzleloaders. Sally shoots a White G Series Muzzleloader in .504caliber  photo's. The bullet she shoot is 460gr No Excuse RN all lead. The 3 shot group was 100 yards. I had the stock professionally cut to fit her & a Kick EEZ pad installed, the barrel was shorten 2 " & re-crowned by Denny Tubs so the balance of the muzzleloader wouldn't feel awkward for her. photo's 2 & 3

It was kind of scary shooting this since the stock was shorted to fit her & me being so tall & long armed thinking the scope was going to pop me in the eye. I folded a beach towel to extend the stock length.

My muzzleloader is a White Super 91 in .504caliber. The bullet I shoot is a 496gr. all lead slug called the Trashcan developed by Jeff Weedling. My White loves this bullet & shoots it very accurately, 3 shot group @ 100 yards with one bullet went threw the same hole. We both like shooting heavy lead which gives us large leaky holes.

My back board on my home gun range is 2 sheets of 4ft by 8ft 3\4 exterior plywood stacked on top of one another for a 8ft by 8 ft back board. NO stray was found.

Lord, make me fast and accurate. Let my aim be true and my hand faster than those who seek to destroy me. Grant me victory over my foes and those that wish to do harm to me and mine. Let not my last thought be, if only I had a gun, and lord, if today is the day you call me home, let me die in a pile of empty brass

Sally's trigger group when out on her when I started loading it yesterday . Went to pop a cap & the trigger is froze. Removed the trigger & the spring was laying sideways in the trigger frame. What's the chances of that? I've owned this muzzleloader since they 1st came out in the early 1990's. I had the stock cut down & the barrel shorten so it will fit her correctly. The trigger is a Bold Trigger & they are no longer in business. I email Doc White of White Muzzleloading asking if he hand any or if this could be fix.

She'll shoot mine, be a bit long for her but she'll manage.
